( 80 ) mr Matthew Scarbrough in behalf of Hannah the Extrix of James: Maynard decd, in Open Court Confest judgmt for seventeen hundred ninety eight pounds of tobacco, due & owing to Jno: West Clk of ye Court mr Peter Dent likewise as Attorney for sd Maynard Confirmed the Same. Order granted pr Court for ye Same alias Executio .
James Duncans Petion and Bill being produced as followeth. viz
Somerset County in Maryland Know all men by these presents that I James Maynard of the County and Province aforesd Innholder doe Confess myself to owe and Stand justly Indebted unto James Duncan of the aforesd County & Province Planter in the just and full quantity & Sum of Six thousand eight hundred pounds of good sound Mertable tobacco & Caske to contain the Same, without ground leaves & all manner of trash to the true payment whereof I bind me my Heirs Extors & Admrs to pay or Cause to be paid the aforesd quantity of like Tobacco unto the aforesd James Duncan. him his Heirs Extors Admrs or Certaine attorney upon demand at Snow hill Landing.In Witness whereof. I have hereunto Sett my hand & Seal this 27th. day of October 1692 .

Know all men by these presents that I James Miner of Somerset County in the Province of Maryland Innholder, do ow & stand Justly in debtly indebted unto John: Stocly Planter his Heirs Extors Admrs or Assigns the just Sum of twelve pieces of eight Silver money to be paid & delivered to the Said Stocly by the last day of October next ensueing the date hereof. To the wch payment well & truely to be made & honestly paid, I doe bind my Self, my Heirs Extors or Admrs firmly by these presents, as Witness my hand & Seal this 6th day of Septemr Anno 1693 // James: Maynard.
