              Walter: Taylor. Dft       unto Patrick Berry of the Same County Taylor of a plea y^t he render

                                                            unto him the full & just Quantity of twelve hundred pounds of good Sound

                                                         merchantable tobacco & Caske w^ch to him he oweth & unjustly deteineth &ca.

And whereupon the Said Patrick by Peter Dent his Attorney complaineth that whereas the Said Walter the 7^th day of June

in the year of our Lord 1689 at Pocomoke within the Jurisdiction of this Court by his Certain Bill Obligatory, which the

Said Patrick with the Seal of the Said Walter Signed bringeth here into Court the date whereof is the day & year aforesd

acknowledged himSelf to be indebted to the said Patrick in the Said full & just Sum of 1200 Pounds of tobacco to

be paid to the Said Patrick at or upon the 10^th. day of October next ensueing the date of the Said Bill Convenient to

Some Landing on Pocomoke River to which payment the Said Walter bound himSelf firmly by the Said Bill Never

the less the Said Walter the sd 1200 Pounds of tobacco hath not paid but hath hitherto refused & doth still refuse to y^e

damage of the Said Patrick of 2000 Pounds of tobacco, & thereof he brings this Sute &ca.                                Jn^o. Doe

              bound unto Patrick Berry of the Same County & Province aforesd in the full & just quantity of twelve hundred

              pounds of good Sound Merchantable leaf tobacco in Caske to Contain the Same to be paid unto the sd Patrick

                Berry, at or upon the 10^th day of October next ensueing the date hereof his Heirs Extors Adm^rs or Assigns Convenient

                to Some Landing in Pocomoke River to y^e which payment well & truly to be made I bind mySelf my Heirs
