To the worll. the Justices of Somerset County The humble Petion of Thomas Cox humbly Craveth yt whereas yr

Petioner last Court was Sumoned for a Jury man accordingly attended the Court the first day, but leaving his

Child very dangerous ill when he came from home & hearing that he grew worse went home (natural affection

Compelling him thereto So now am Sumoned this Court for not Serving last. Be pleased to take into yr Serious=

Consideration yr Petioner may not Suffer a fine in being no Contempt but am willing & ready now or any

other time to Serve & yr petioner will pray as Duty he is bound.

              The abovesd Petion being read was as prayed granted, ye sd Cox paying fees



To the Worll. Comrs of Somerset County now in Court Sitting The humble Petion of Lewes Beard most humbly Sheweth

That your Petioner impanneld a Jury man at June Court Last past & being dismist by ye Court your Petioner being

again Sumoned by the Sheriff , yr Petioner therefore in ignorance went to his home, therefore yr Petioner Craveth yt

of yr Clemency yw would be pleased to remitt his ffine & yr Petioner shall be in duty bound to pray.

                            The abovesd Petion being read, was as prayed granted. The sd Beard paying fees



To the worll. the Comrs of Somerset County. The humble Petion of Daniel.Donnahoe humbly Sheweth, that whereas

your petioner hath an impotent Negro, being almost blind, & likewise bursten, by reason whereof he is not able to

prform reasonable labour, So that he is rather a Charge then any benefitt to him, yr Petioner therefore humbly

prayes that he may not be Compelled to pay Taxes for ye sd Negro. & yr Petioner as in duty bound shall pray &ca

                            The abovesd Petion being read, but not granted.


              

To Advertise the Worll. Court of these two whose names are under Written. John:Colson at William: Harris’s which he

refused to give in for a Tytheable to the Constable, and he hath been 13:years in the Country the last ffebruary and his

Mother declared him to be 5:years old when they Came into the Country.

         An Indian at John:Hollands which makes Cropps. there. - - - - After wch. Petion was read it was by ye

         Worll. Court Ordered that sd Harris appear next Court & bring sd Colson with him to answer &ca. _______

           



              James: Willis assumed in Open Court to pay Richard: Dibols Taxes this year.


              

              David: Shoshe to be added to Pocomoke Taxables pr ordr of Court .

           



              Robert: Miller to be added to Monokin List of Taxable prsons

           



These are to Certifie all prsons that Richard: Green Currier & William Taylor Sonn of James Taylor Senior

hath their Names given as the Law directs and are entered in ye list as Tytheables in ye County of [Accomack]

in the Colony of Virginia for this prsent year 1693. In Testamony whereof this 4th. day of August J- -
