Whereas Capt.Jno.Osborne of this County was when he dyed justly indebted to yr Petioner the Sum of Six hundred thirty & three pounds of tobacco upon accot. for which yr Petioner Craves an order agt Capt. Wm:Whittington as the Relict of Capt.Osbourne decd. and as in duty bound Shall for Ever pray. // No Result pr Court only sd Whittington demured to petr

The humble Petion of George Noble humbly Sheweth - - - Whereas your Petioner understanding that last Court yr worps were pleased to order that I should pay the Charges that accrued in an accon of their Maties Contra Samll.Worthington, which Seemeth Strange to yr Petioner not knowing any Law or president that any Should Suffer for telling the truth, for it well known to yr Worps that the Information I gave to ye Grand Jury was made good by his own Confession in Open Court, Seeing my information was truth to lay then before the Grand Jury to find it presentable or no, which they did, Therefore yr Petioner humbly Conceiveth that I am Clea of his fault, never understanding that Cryers ever kept Sheriffs books, or that Sheriffs acted or were ruled in Chargeing their fees by Cryers, neither did I ever receive any fees for keeping Sherifs books, therefore not bound to Suffer for his fault or Error. finding it enough to Suffer for my own. hoping yr Worps will impartialy Consider ye premises your Petioner in duty bound Shall pray &ca. - - - - - -- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

Dixon, Admr of all & Singular the goods Credits & Debts of the Said Robert: Dukes. And yr Petioner as in duty bound Shall ever pray &ca. The Admr not being present, no result was given
