Francis: White Deft.               Of a plea that he render to him the Sum of nine hundred & fifty six pounds

                                                         detaineth &ca - - - - And whereupon the Said John: by Peter Dent his

Attorney Saith that whereas the sd ffrancis the 14^th.day of December in the year of our Lord 1692 at Pocomoke within

the Jurisdiction of this Court, by his Certain Bill Obligatory which the Said Jn^o. with the Seal of the Said ffrancis -

Signed bringeth here into Court, the date whereof is the day & year abovesd acknowledged himSelf to be bound to y^e

Said John in the Said Sum of nine hundred fifty Six pounds of tobacco & Caske to be paid to the said Jn^o. upon all

demands at Some Convenient place upon Pocomoke River in Somerset County in Maryland to y^e true p^rformance of y^e

Same The Said ffrancis bound himSelf firmly by the Said Bill;. Nevertheless the said ffrancis the said Sum of

956 Pounds of tobacco to the said Jn^o. although often demanded the Same to the Said Jn^o. hath not rendered but

hath hitherto refused, & doth Still refuse to y^e damage of the Said Jn^o: of 1600 Pounds of tobacco & thereunto

   Know all men by these p^resents that I ffrancis: White am holden & justly indebted unto John: Broughton Planter

   the sum of nine hundred fifty Six pounds of good Sound Merchantable Leaf Tobacco & Caske to contain the same upon

    all demands to the true & full p^rformance of the Same. I bind me my Heirs Extors Adm^rs Assigns firmly by these

    presents unto John: Broughton his Heirs Extors Adm^rs or Assigns upon Some Convenient place upon Pocomoke River

    in Somerset County in Maryland, as Wittess my hand & Seal this 14^th. day of De cemb^r 1692.

deteineth &ca - - - And whereupon the Said Thomas. by Peter Dent his Attorney Saith that whereas the said

ffrancis the Second day Jan^ry in the year of our Lord 1692. at Monocan within the Jurisdiction of this Court was [ indebted]

to the Said Thomas in the Said Sum of 1000 Pounds of tob by his Certain Bill under the hand and Seal of the

ffrancis the date whereof is the day & year aforesd, to be paid to the Said Thomas Convenient on Pocomoke River

upon demand to y^e which paym^t the said ffrancis bound himself firmly by the Said Bill Nevertheless the said

the Said Sum of 1000 Pounds of tobacco to the Said Thomas according to the tenour of the Said Bill hath not
