delivered to the dft by Samuel:Cooper decd which Said Sum of 200 pounds of tobacco the dft did acknowledge and

assume to pay unto the plt when thereunto required But the deft not regarding his promise & assumption but

fraudulently intending ye plt to deceive, in the Sum of 200 pounds of tobacco though often thereunto required but

hath refused to pay & Still doth refuse Whereupon the plt Saith he is damnified & hath losse to the value of 400=

pounds of tobacco & thereupon brings his Sute pr Quer. - Edward: Jones.

       The Deft by Ja:Sangster defends the force & injury & pleads Satisfaction & puts it to ye Court. J.S.

To theire Maties Worll. Justices of the Peace for ye County of Somerset in Court Sitting. ____ The humble Petion

of Robert King Sheweth &ca. - - - - That whereas yr Petionor hath fully Compleated his Admrn Concerning

the Estate of mr John:Galbraith decd as by ye Records of this County will plainly make appear, Likewise have

made a due and ample returne of the Same into the Comissaries Office, Therefore Since yr Petioner has So

fully discharged himself & paid more then what the Estate was realy appraised to, humbly craves to be=

discharged from the Same, and that yr Worpps will grant him a Quietus: Est which may Stand engrossed upon

Record yr Petioner Shall pray &ca. - - - - - - - - - - ________ - - - - - - - - - _________ - - - - - - - - -

                            The abovesd Petion being read was pr Worps Considered & granted to sd King as prayed for &ca

Teague:Riggen. Senr. Dft        of the County of Somerset in the Province of Maryland Planter was Summoned

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~             to answer unto Jno: Cole of Accamacak County in the Collony of Virginia Innholder

                                                         of a plea yt he render unto him the full & just Sum of four thousand seven hundred

Pounds of good Sound Merchantable leaf tobaco & Caske which to him he oweth & unjustly detaineth &ca. - - - -

And whereupon the said John: by Peter Dent his Attorney Saith that the Said Teague the 21th day of November in

the year of our Lord 1691, within the Jurisdiction of this Court by his Certain Bill Obligatory which the (Said)
