Which the Said William with the Seal of the Said Thomas Signed bringeth here into Court the date whereof is y^e day and

and year aforesd, bound himSelf by the Said Bill in the Said Sum. Nevertheless the Said Thomas, the Same to the said

William hath not rendered, although often demanded, but the Same to pay hath denyed, and doth still deny to the damage

of the Said William of 2000 Pounds of tobacco, and thereof he brings this Sute &ca.

                beloved Ephraim Wilson. Gent Sheriff of our County our Said County with the appurtenances to be by him kept during

                our pleasure Wee doe therefore hereby will & require y^w upon ye faith & allegiance y^w bear unto us to be aiding and

                assisting unto y^e Said Ephraim Wilson as Sheriff of our Said County in all things as occasion Shall require, whereof
