Thomas Porter               Second Tuesday of March last past, upon their Oaths doe present Thomas Porter of

Henry Bishopp              This County Labourer for that the Said Thomas Some time on or about y^e 10^th day of

December in the year of o^r Lord 1693. At Wiccocomocoe within the Jurisdiction of this Court the Said Thomas then

& there being the fforest of o^r Soveraign Lord the King, did then & there hunt & range & ten Wild unmarked Hoggs=

of the value of One thousand Pounds of Porke on the Land of m^r ffrancis Jenckins & on other places unknown

then & there being, the Same did kill & Carry away Contrary to the Peace of o^r Soveraign Lord & Lady the King & Queen

their Crown & dignity & agt the Act of Assembly of this Province in this Case provided .

The foresd Indictm^t being read to w^ch y^e Said Bishopp Porter Pleaded not guilty & for tryal put himself upon y^e Jury

Whereof Comand was this day given to the Sheriff to bring here twelve good & Lawfull men of his Balywick y^t

the matter in hand might be the better understood. A List or pannel whereof are returned as followeth (viz) Thomas Dixon

who having heard y^e foregoing Indictm^t & Evidences Sworn & examined receives their Charge & are Sent forth in Order

to determine the matter — And being returned doe bring in this following verdict (viz) Wee of the Jury find

Thomas Porter not guilty of this Indictm^t.

                                           the said Henry then & there being the forrest of our Sovereign Lord the King did hunt &

                                           rainge & two wild unmarked hoggs running with the propper hoggs of John: Goddin

Of the value of three hundred pounds of Porke the Same did kill & Carry away Contrary to the Peace of o^r Sove^raign

Lord & Lady the King & Queen their Crowne & Dignity & agt the form of an Act of Assembly in that Case Provided
