Contra } The Grand Jury for the body of Somerset County at a Court held, for the Said County on ye Thomas Porter Second Tuesday of March last past, upon their Oaths doe present Thomas Porter of Henry Bishopp This County Labourer for that the Said Thomas Some time on or about ye 10th day of December in the year of or Lord 1693. At Wiccocomocoe within the Jurisdiction of this Court the Said Thomas then & there being the fforest of or Soveraign Lord the King, did then & there hunt & range & ten Wild unmarked Hoggs= of the value of One thousand Pounds of Porke on the Land of mr ffrancis Jenckins & on other places unknown then & there being, the Same did kill & Carry away Contrary to the Peace of or Soveraign Lord & Lady the King & Queen their Crown & dignity & agt the Act of Assembly of this Province in this Case provided . Dent Clk prsentmts The foresd Indictmt being read to wch ye Said Bishopp Porter Pleaded not guilty & for tryal put himself upon ye Jury Whereof Comand was this day given to the Sheriff to bring here twelve good & Lawfull men of his Balywick yt the matter in hand might be the better understood. A List or pannel whereof are returned as followeth (viz) Thomas Dixon John Roach Junior Nich. Evins Henry Hudson Senr. Robt Catlin. Graves Jarrett John Heath Samll Marchment. Richard Wharton James Hill. Tho Wilson. Capt. Wm: Piper 12) who being duely Sumoned returned & Sworn upon ye holy Evangelists - who having heard ye foregoing Indictmt & Evidences Sworn & examined receives their Charge & are Sent forth in Order to determine the matter — And being returned doe bring in this following verdict (viz) Wee of the Jury find Thomas Porter not guilty of this Indictmt. Whereupon the Court Orders the verdict to be entered & Confirms ye Same likewise the Court Orders the sd Thomas Bishopp to pay Cost of Sute. alias Exu

Porter the Second Tuesday in March last upon their Oaths doe present Henry: Bishopp Henry: Bishopp of this County Labourer for that the Said Henry Some time on or about the 10th day ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ of March in the year of or Lord 1693. at the SeaSide within the Jurisdiction of this Court the said Henry then & there being the forrest of our Sovereign Lord the King did hunt & rainge & two wild unmarked hoggs running with the propper hoggs of John: Goddin Of the value of three hundred pounds of Porke the Same did kill & Carry away Contrary to the Peace of or Soveraign Lord & Lady the King & Queen their Crowne & Dignity & agt the form of an Act of Assembly in that Case Provided Dent Clk Presentmts The foresd Indictmt being read to which the Said Henry pleaded not guilty & for Tryall refers him Self to a Jury Whereupon Comand was given to the Sheriff to bring here twelve good & lawfull men of his Balywick, that the matter in hand might be the better understood A List or pannel whereof are returned as followeth (viz) Thomas Dixon.
