( 9 ) August 9th Ano. Domi 1692 The Court being three times Calld. Came Coll David Browne with his Servant Patrick Meclaster to be adjudged of his age C the said Patrick having no Indenture. this Court judges the said Patrick to be between C Seaventeen and eighteen years of age. The Said Brown produced a Certificate which was read in Court but returned back to him againe . - - - - - C - - - - - - C - - - - - Elisha: Nichols, Servant to Capt. Wm. Whittington, was this day brought before the Court to have her age adjudged. And this Court judges the said Elisha to be betwixt twelve & thirteen years old, and to Serve till Sixteen years of age being an Orphant . C - - - - - C - - - - - - John: Trubshaw Sonn of John: Trubshaw decd. is by this Court put Apprentiss to Archibald Smith who promises to learn Said John to read. the said Archibald alleadgeth that sd John is three years old, and this Court assents to the Same . - - - - - - C - - - - - - - C - - - - - - - C - - - John: Henderson, William: Henderson. James: Henderson & John: Williams. brought into Court the last will & Testament of James: Henderson deceased, affirming to Court that being parties concerned, are all unnaminously agreed with what is inserted in the Said Will C - - - - which agreemt. was requested to be recorded, which pr Court is granted . To the worll. Justices of their Maties peace for the County of Somerset in Court Sitting ye Petion of John:Bishopp humbly Sheweth. C . That whereas your petioner was attached to answer the worll.Court for concealing of a tytheable, your petionr craves your worps would bring ye petionr to an hearing concerning the Same & your petioner as in duty bound Shall ever pray &ca. C after which Petion was read. Thomas Selby told the Court that he did not question but that he could prove that the sd Bishopp had detained this County Taxes three years . C - - - - - Their Maties Somerset County Ss. The Jurers for their Maties being Sworn upon ye Contra. holy Evangelists at a Grand Jury held for the body of this County ye Second Jno.Bishopp Tuesday in November last past, doe present & find, that John:Bishopp of - - - - - - - - Bogatenorten hundred & within the Jurisdiction of this Court not ignorant of the fine & penalty by Law inflicted upon all Such persons Masters of families --- that Shall keep back or conceal any (one or) more of their Tythables belonging or residing in their C families; The said John Bishopp this instant year, To Roberts Cade Constable of the sd hundred for the yeare 1691. did wittingly & willingly Conceal One Tytheable intending their by to defraud |
