( 84 ) 8ber 18th 1692 Capt John Winder Corronr for this County having put into Court two Inquisitions one Concerning Rose Bryans Child. And the other Concerning mr Edwd Dayes Child Allowed of pr Court & Ordered to bring into ye next County Leavy. mr Gilbert: Clarke. _____ 21: July 1691 __ Sr. your Bills last year drawn upon mr Little: Page for Seaventy One pound Sterling to mr Thomas: Jones being protested, to prevent Suite have thought Convenient to draw New Bills upon you for the Same with twenty pr C. Advance as the law directs which I could not evite. therefore these are earnestly requesting you as you doe tender your own Credit & mine not to fail in making good pay of the aforesd Bills which I have drawn upon you being with the advance Eighty five pounds & four Shillings of the Same date. which will Singularly Oblige me and Save your Self of much damage & trouble, which otherwayes must of necessity follow if not thankfully answered not doubting your Care concerning the premises. I remaine. Sr. your assured friend & Servant Walter: Campbell , s. Bill of Exch. for 85: 4: Sr. Twenty dayes after Sight of this my third pr Exch. my first & Second of the Same Tenor. and date not being payd, pay or cause to be paid, unto mr Thomas Jones or his Order Eighty five pounds & four Shillings Sterling for the like value recd. pray make him good pay, and place it as pr advice to the accot of.
