Of a Plea y^t he render unto him the full & just Sum of Sixteen shillings & eight pence
Sterling which to him he oweth & unjustly deteineth &ca. _____  - - - - -   _____   - - - - -
            And  whereupon y^e Said Peter in his proppe^r p^rson Saith that y^e Said Joseph. y^e
22^th day of May in y^e year of our Lord. 1691 at Pocomoke within the Jurisdiction of this
Court by his Certain Bill Obligatory which the said Peter with the Seal of the Said
Joseph. Signed bringeth here into Court, the date whereof is the day & year aforesd C
acknowledged himself to be bound to the said Peter in y^e said Sum of Sixteen shillings &
eight pence Sterling to be paid to the said Peter Convenient at Rehobeth Town in y^e County
aforesaid by the 10^th of Novemb^r ensueing in wheat at the rate of three shillings p^r Bushell
Nevertheless the Said Joseph. the Same according to the tenno^r of the Said Bill hath not pd
but hath hitherto denyed & Doth Still deny to the damage of the Said Peter of 1000. =
