Whereupon the Said ffrancis in is proppe^r p^rson Saith that the Said James viz the 24^th
day of ffebruary in the year of our Lord 1686 at Pocomoke within the Jurisdiction of this
Court by his Certain Bill, which the Said ffrancis with the seal of the said James bringeth
here into Court, the date whereof is the day & year aforesd acknowledged himself to be bound
to the Said ffrancis in the full & just Sum of One thousand three hundred fourty three pounds
of tobacco in Cask to be paid to the said ffrancis his Heirs Ext^rs Assigns or Lawfull
Attorney to the true performance whereof the Said James the Said Sum to the Said ffrancis
hath not paid but hath hitherto denyed & doth Still deny to the damage of the sd ffrancis of
2686 pounds of tobacco & thereupon he brings this Suite          Plegs     Jn^o: Doe

Know all men by these presents that I James: Inglish of Somerset County in the Province
aforesd am holden & firmly bounden unto ffrancis Jenckins of the County aforesd Gentl in the
full & just Sum or Quantitie of One thousand three hundred fourty three Pounds of good Sound
bright & large Merchantable tobacco in Caske to be pd upon demand (it being for a valuable Consid
=eration in hand allready recd, at Some One Convenient Towne in the County aforesd to the
true p^rformance whereof I bind my Self my Heirs Ext^rs & Adm^rs firmly by these presents
to the Said ffrancis: Jenckins his Heirs Execcutors Adm^rs Assigns or lawfull Attorney in Witness
whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand & Seal this 24^th: day of ffebry An^o: Dom. 1686 . _____
