( 32 ) 7ber 14th 1692 The aforesaid Mittimus and Examination being read being read . This Court values the aforesaid fish & breeches at One hundred & fifty pounds of tobacco, upon which it is Ordered the said Cooper pay to Moses ffenton the four fold (viz) Six hundred pounds of Tobacco als Exec. Ordered Likewise the said George: Cooper into the Sheriffs Custody till he give Security for his good behavior. & to answer what damages may be laid agt the sd Cooper Concerning two Nigroes that made their Escape from him, & also for Court Charges _______ - - - - -______ Ordered that Moses ffenton Secure the two guns & Sword, he took from George Cooper & the two Negroes, till they Shall by Law be demanded . ________ - - - - - - _____ - - - - - Memorandum. That this day to witt the 14th day of 7ber Ano. Dom 1692 Came before the Justices in Court Sitting Alice & delivered a Certaine Lease of 190: Acres of Land Called Potters Plantation. Likewise the Said Alice Mitchell & Thomas Potter And Christian the wife of Thomas: Dixon did then & at that Same time in Court Seal Sign acknowledge & deliver a Certain Conveyance for the foresd 190: Acres, for the use of L: Copley Esqr. Capt. Genll. & Governr of Maryland Teste John West Clr Cur Comit Somerset To their Maties Worll. Justices of the Peace for the County of Somerset in Court Sitting C The humble petion of Samuel: Alexander humbly sheweth . _______ That yr Petioner being Solicited by Several of his Neighbours & friends to Supplicate your worpps. to be Admitted Attorney in this Court. Therefore hopes yr worpps will please to grant me Licence for the Same. & as in duty bound Shall ever pray &ca. Petion Granted To their Maties Justices of the Peace of Somerset County Maryland: The humble petion of John: Townsend Senior humbly sheweth yr worps. That finding my Self not So able to manage the Surveyors place of the high wayes as I have been, beggs yr worpps to release me of the Same. And yr petionr shall as in duty pray &ca. C And if yw please Rowland Beavins is a very fitt man for the place. Petion. granted.
