( 31 ) 7ber 14th 1692 The Said Luffe assumeing in Court to pay all the charges accrued by reason of Said Servant Grand Jury returned. Ordered process issue upon their prsentmt. Ordr. to mend for me Wee the Grand Jury find James: Barry & Jane his now pretended Wife prsentable for living in adultery by the information of Donnam Olanman. On ye backside of ye presentmt was writt. You Gentlm. of the Grand Jury yw are desired to present James: Barry & Jane prtended wife to the sd Barry, the Said Jane She told & Confessed to Jno. Dorman & his wife to Gideon Tillmas wife & to Mark Quillain; that she the said Jane was never married to the aforesaid James Barry - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Their Maties. The Examination of George: Cooper ye first of 7ber 1692 Contra } who Confessed before us viz C That about the latter end of George: Cooper September ano.1691: Moses ffenton took him up for a runaway to who ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ he then Confessed himself Soe (with a Nigro Man & a Nigro Woman in his Company and that they had a boat, two guns & a Sword, & that Mosesffenton, had their guns & Sword, & having been above a day in their Custody, he togeather wth the Nigroes made their Escape & runaway; takeing with them from Moses ffenton about 2 a barrel of Salt fish. 1. paire of Leather breeches. 1. pt . botle &ca Signum George. Wee Send yw here- with all the body of George: Cooper.
