Grand Jury was Sworn before S^d Wm: Morris Tryall being duely impannelled & returned
whose names are ^as followeth viz Bryan: Peart, Wm: Wilson. Cap^t Wm Coulbourne. Samuel
Horsey. George Wilson  Samuel: Alexander  Randall Mitchell  Robert Catline Edward Dikes
Hope: Taylor  Hough: Porter. Isaac: Boston. Henry Hudson. Sen^r. Jn^o Smock  Nicholas Lisney

Somerset County Sc.  These may Certifie that three years ago, and Indian very likely  y^e bearer
brought before me a Wolfs tongue & ear caused cut, for which gave him a Certificate, & told
him he must carry it to Court, where he would be allowed, as English men for the like Service
but Since hath Severall times Complained Saying he did carry the Certificate and laid it on y^e court
table, but as yett Saith had no allowance  Given under my hand this 25^th of June 1692.

The verdict is read as followeth (viz) wee of the Jury doe find for Moses Owen plt. that John
Rowell doe forth with deliver unto him the Said Owen upon the plantacon of Thomas: Owen decd
Seaven Cows and Calves. & our Opinion is, that the Said Tobacco, then made upon the Land did amount
to 2500^lb which was paid towards the purchase of the Land                                                                  Sangster
