(June) ye (13th)1693 ( 226 ) To the Worll. the Comrs of Somerset County, The humble Petion of Walter: Lane humbly Sheweth C That whereas Mary Sulivan Servant to the sd Walter Lane hath Severall times absented her Self from her Said Masters Service as pr accot. (here) in Court produced will more plainly appear, your Petioner therefore humbly Craves (yr) worps Order agt the Said fugitive for the Said time (according to Act of Assembly) (as) also for two hundred pounds of tobacco Charged upon him by Bernard Ward for taking of her up at Monokin, and your Petioner as in duty bound Shall pray &ca. Mary Sulivans accot. of Runnaway time. viz. days From the 25th. of April ano. 1692 until the 10th. of May following } 16 being then brought home in all 16: dayes - - - - - - - - - The Same Night she rann away again. & 22th. of ye Same instant was} 12 brought home again having been absent 12: dayes . - - - - - - The 23d Same Instant she rann away again & brought - - } 1 home the 24th . 1 day . - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ________ Totall Sume - 29 Tob. paid Bernard: Ward for takeing of her up at Back Creek in Monoken and Carrying of her home . - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -200lb tob The abovesd Walter Lane in Open Court made Oath to the abovesd Runaway time And this Court grants Order for the Same (viz) for 290 dayes, of which 98 dayes are to be deducted, therefore will rest due to Sd Lane 192. as also two months more accounting 30 dayes to each month for ye 200lb tob pd Bernard Ward So that the whole time of Servitude from sd Mary to sd Lane is from the date hereof two hundred fifty two dayes as pr Court is Ordered. Order Sums for James:Barry to appr. before ye Court tomorrow to answer prsentmt of Orpht.Jury Cornelius Ward promises to appr. ye next Court to answer Complaint of Wm:Tisdale. To the Worll. Comissioners now in Court Sitting.
