June (13th) 1693 ( 225 ) Then was the act Concerning Orphants & Probat of Wills read. And the Jury for Orphants was then Sworn upon the holy Evangelists, a list or panel whereof was returned as followeth viz uces: Beard Anthony: Jones. Robert: Catlin. Henry: Hall. Wm: Tompkins Abraham: Emmett ch Chambers. Tho: Humphreys. - - - - - ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ James:Dashiels Junior his Nigro Jack, was this day brought before the Justices to have (his) age adjudged. and after full view thereof. the said Justice, did judge the sd Nigro Jack to be thirteen years of age . Sarah: Whitty Orphant of Rich: Whitty deceased this day appeared in Court according to An Order past in March Court last. // To their Worps their Maties Justices of the Peace of the County of Somerset now in Crt Sitting These are to lett yr worps understand that it hath pleased God to visit me with an aflicting Sickness, So that I am not able to come to Court, I therefore humbly pray yr Worps to continue what accons I am concerned in it will be no great prejudice they being of no long continuance and your languishing Servant will ever pray. Saml. Alexander // no result To the Worll. their Maties Justices of the Peace for the County of Somerset in Crt Sitting the humble Petition of Mary Noble humbly Sheweth. That Whereas yr Petioner is arrived to the full age of Sixteen years, and therefore humbly Craves, that I may have the Estate is left me by my deceased ffather in my own hands & posession, which the Extr is ready to performe when Ordered by your worps, So hopeing yr Worps will grant Order for the Same yr Petioner as in duty bound Shall pray &ca. Ordered by the Justices in Court Sitting. That the^Extor or Execcutrix of ye Estate of Isaac: Noble deceased, deliver to Mary Noble daughter to ye sd deceased her Estate & portion left her by her deceased ffather, And that Benjamine:Cottman. William Robbinson and Nicholas: Tyler See the said Estate delivered to ye foresd Mary Ordr Sent To the Worll. the Justices of Somerset County Court, The humble Petion of Joseph: Taylor humbly Sheweth C That yr Petioner hath a Sonn of Seaventeen years of age next August, which Sonn is both deaf and dumb yr Petioner desires to know whether he shall pay taxes or not, and yr Petioner as in duty bound Shall pray . Courts Opinion is that he ye sd Joseph pay taxes ___ |
