June 13th 169:(3//) ( 224 ) Maryland Ss // By his Exncy: the Capt. Genrll A Proclamation - - - - - - - - - - - - Whereas the Genrll - Assembly of this Province was on the 9th. day of March last past proroged until the twentieth day of this Instant May, which day now drawing near at hand and (no) urgent or emergent occasion at present Offering which might require the Convening & (Seating?) of the Same at the Said time, I have (with the advice & Consent of their Maties Council (within) this Province) thought fitt to deferr & prorogue the Same, and the Same is accordingly hereby further prorogued unto the twentieth day of July next ensueing Whereof all & Singular (the) Sheriffs of this Province are hereby Straightly charged & comanded to make publick Proclamacon in the most publick & Convenient places within their Severall & respective Counties, and also give due Notice to Such of their Maties Council as doe inhabit & reside within their Sd Countys, and to ye Deputies & Deligates thereof by the freemen of the Same thereunto Elected & Chosen, that all Excuses Sett apart, they and every of them be & personally appear at the Citty of St Marys on ye Said Twentieth day of July next, to doe and Consent to Such things as shall then & there by the favour of God happen to be Ordained & Enacted C Given at the Citty of St. Marys under the great Seal of this Province the tenth day of May Anno Domini 1693// in the fifth year of the Raign of or Soveraign Lord & Lady King Wm & Queen Mary &ca. God Save King William & Queen Mary To Stephen:Luff Gent. high Sher of Somerset County / These. // L. Copley Sealed (Upon) Motion made pr Capt. Jno:Winder to the Worll. Court It is Ordered that Thomas: Humphreys. Wm Elgate Richard:Jefferson & Edward: Bennett, doe view a Certain Mare (Supposed) to be sd Winders, and to make report thereof to our Justices of or next County Court to be holden (the) Second Tuesday in August anno Domini 1693 // Coppie Sent. To the Worll. Comissioners of the County of Somerset now in Court Sitting ye humble petion of Tho:( Horsman) Whereas yr petioner the last March Court attended the Court two dayes, and of the Second day at (night) went from Court with intent to goe home, but being taken with extream Sickness was not able to ride home, & Continueing So the next day was not able to come to Court, for which neglect yr Petioner was informed a ffine was laid upon him, wherefore yr Petioner humbly desireth of your Worps to remitt his fine & Charges, & yr Petioner as in duty bound Shall ever pray &ca. which Petion was read & granted The record being Searched it Seemed the sd (Horsman ) not to be fined as to him reported // |
