Make known to him (he) give his attendance on you, and if need require Cause to (come) before
you or any  Such four or more of yw as afd So many good & lawfull men of yr County by
whome the truth (in) the premises may be the better known & enquired of. And Lastly
Wee have appointed John:West Gent. to be Clk and keeper of the Records & proceedings
in yt Court and therefore yw shall Cause to be brought before yw at the dayes & places agd
the (Writts) precepts process and Indictmts. to yr Court and Jurisdiction belonging that the
(Same) may be inspected and by due course of Law determined as afd. Given at our Citty
of St Maries the Seaventeenth day of April Anno Domini 1693/ in the fifth year of
our Reign. &ca. Wittness our trusty & Welbeloved Lionel: Copley Esqr. our Capt Genrll. and
Governour in Chief in & over our Province & Territory of Maryland afsd.

Defenders of the faith &ca  To ffrancis Jenckins & John:Winder of Somerset County Gent
greeting.  Wee doe hereby authorize and empower yw the Said John:Winder to Admr the Oath of
Justice of the Peace & Comissionr of Somerset County Court to the sd ffrancis: Jenckins And
you the Said ffrancis Jenckins having taken the Said Oath then are to Admr the Same to
the Said John:Winder, and to the rest of the Justices and Comrs with in mentioned respectively
as they are named.  Which when done, yw are to Certifie under yr hands and Seals into our high
Court of Chancery, with all Convenient Speed.  Witness our trusty & well beloved Lionel =
Copley Esqr. our Capt. Generall & Governr in Chief in & over our Province & Territory of Maryland
&ca.  the 17th- day of April Anno Domini 1693. in the 5th year of or Reign &ca.

The Comissioners in the aforesd Comission was according to ye Dedimus all duely Sworn
except mr Edmund: Howard, who the day following was likewise Sworn. __________
 
Then was Sworn the other Officers belonging to ye Court. (viz) mr Peter Dent & mr Jno
Strawbridge Attorneys. ___ also the two Subsheriffs (viz) Saml:Worthington & Robt. Pirrie
as also the Cryer & the Clerk
