Jurisdiction of this Court, by his  Certain Bill Obligatory, which the Said George:Layfield
(with the) Seal of the Said George Baynam Signed bringeth here into Court, the date whereof
is the day & year aforesd acknowledged him Self to be bound to the Said George Layfield
in the Said full Sum of 537 Pounds of tobacco to be paid to the Said George Layfield
  the which payment the Said George Baynam bound himself firmly by the said Bill C
Nevertheless the said George Baynam the Said Sum of 537 Pounds of tobacco according to
the teno^r of the said Bill hath not rendered, but hath hitherto refused & doth Still refuse
to the damage of the said George Layfield of 1200 Pounds of tobacco, & thereof he brings

I acknowledge my Self to be indebted unto George:Layfield of Pocomoke the just
Sum of five hundred thirty Seaven pounds of good Sound merchantable leaf tobacco
in Caske at Snow hill upon demand, witness my hand and Seal the day above
