 ( 163 ) Janry 10th 1692.
Maryland Somerset County
Whereas Complaint has been lately made to me Stephen: Horsey. One of their Maties
Justices of the Peace for the County aforesd, That One Mary Maxwell a Servt
woman to mr Edward: Jones, hath at Sundry times felloniously taken away Severall
percels of tobacco from & belonging to mr. Randall Revell & mr Miles Gray.
 
These are therefore in their Maties Name Strictly to will & require as also Charge
and Comand yw that tomorrow by tenn of the Clock forenoon yw have ye body of
the abovesd Mary Maxwell at our Court house before their Maties Justices in Court
Sitting, then & their to answer as well to the abovesd Complaint, as to what else shall
be Objected agt her on behalf of their Maties. fail not at yr peril & have you
there this warrant given under my hand & Seal this 9th- day of Janry in ye 4th
year of their Maties Reign Wm. & Mary King & Queen Over England Anno:
Domini 1692.
      Warrant being Read & the foresd Mary being at ye Barr in Court
It was then Ordered by this Court that the Said Mary & ye Evidences
appear the next Satterday before Capt. Jno.King & mr Stephen Horsey att
the sd Horseys house, that the matter might be further inspected into ___
 
Wm:Burch was pr Court Ordered into Sher Custody for want of Special Bail to
mr Jenckins three accons. _________   - - - - - - - - - -   _________   - - - - - - -
 
Capt. Edward: Archer & mr Alexandr Kyle this day entered into Recognizance
in Open Court of 100, .Sterling to be justly indebted to mr Nathaniel.Horsey
 
The Condicon of which recog. is Such yt if the sd Archer doe well & truly Stand
to abide observe, prforme fulfill & keep the Award of two men indifferently
Chosen to end & determine a Suite of Law depending in our sd Court between
the Said Horsey & Archer. then ye Recog void, otherwayes to remaine in full
power force & vertue
 
And Jno:West was as abovesd bound for sd Horsey to sd Archer in 100, pr Recog to Stand
