And whereupon the plt by James: Sangster his Attorney Comes & Sayes that the sd Richard
dft is become & Stands indebted justly unto the plt in the full & just Sum of Tenn pounds B
Sterling money of England, as doth & may more fully appear by a Certaine Instrument
under the hand & Seal of him the Said Dft. bearing date the fourth day of October Annoq
Domini One thousand Six hundred eighty & eighty nine. in which Said Instrument which
is here in Court produced the Said dft did bind himself his Heirs Execcutors and Admrs
for the true payment of the Said Sum of Tenn pounds Sterling money to the said George
Layfield his Heirs Extors Admrs or Assigns upon demand But the said Richard Dft litle
regarding his Said instrument but fraudulently & Craftily intending to deceive the plt of ye
