Province of Maryland Marriner doe acknowledge & Confess myself to owe & Stand
indebted unto George Layfield of the Same & Province of Maryland Esq^r. in the just
and full Sum of ten pounds Sterling Sterling money of England due to be paid unto
the Said George Layfield, his Heirs Execcuto^rs Adm^rs or Assigns upon demand it being
for a valuable Consideration allready recd, to the which payment well & truly to be made
