         And whereupon the Said Samuel by Peter Dent his Atto^rney Complaineth y^t
Whereas the Said Thomas the 20^th. day of December in the year of our Lord 1688 at Pocomoke
within the Jurisdiction of this Court was indebted to the Said Samuel in the Sum of One
hundred & Seaven pounds of Porke for Sundry goods & Merchandizes by the sd Samuel
to the Said Thomas Sold and delivered and the Said Thomas to the Said Samuel in manner
aforesd being indebted, did assume upon himself & to the sd Samuel faithfully promise y^t
he the Said Thomas the Said Sum of 107 Pounds of Porke when requested would well
& truly content & pay. Nevertheless the Said Thomas his promise & Assumption aforesd
not regarding, but minding & fraudulently intending him the said Samuel in this behalf
to deceive & defraud, the same to the sd Samuel hath not paid, but hath hitherto refused &
& doth Still refuse to the damage of the Said Samuel of 500 Pounds of Porke & hereof
