Samuel: Sandford Mer^cht plt        Somerset Sc. John.Calhoon late of this County was Sumoned
           Contra                                             }    to answer unto Samuel Sandford of the County of Accamack in
John Colhoone defend^t                           the Collony of Virginia of a plea that he render to him the
~   ~   ~   ~   ~   ~   ~   ~           just Sum & Quantity of five hundred Sixty One pounds of good
Sound Merchantable pork which to him he oweth & unjustly deteineth &ca. ____________
And whereupon the Said Samuel by Peter Dent his Atto^rney Saith that the Said John. the
7^th day of ffebruary in the year of o^r Lord1689 at Pocomoke within the Jurisdiction of
this Court by his Certaine Bill Obligatory which the Said Samuel with the Seal of the Said
John Signed bringeth here into Court the date whereof is the day & year aforesd acknowledged
himself to be bound to the Said Samuel in the said full & just Sum of 561: Pounds of
good Sound Merchantable Porke to be paid to the said Samuel:Sandford at the Said Sandfords
Store house in the County of Accomack aforesd, to which payment well faithfully & truly to
be made the Said John:bound himself firmly by the Said Bill. Nevertheless the said Jn^o
the Said Sum of Porke to the Said Samuel hath not paid, but hath hitherto refused & doth
Still refuse to the damage of the Said Samuel of 1600 Pounds of Porke & thereof he

Know all men by these p^resents that I John Colhoone of the County of Somerset in the
Province of Maryland for a valuable Consideration by me in hand allready recd y^e receit
whereof I acknowledge doe by these p^resents Stand justly indebted unto Samuel: Sandford
of the County of accomack in the Collony of Virginia, the just Sum & quantity of five
hundred Sixty One pounds of good Sweet Merchantable Porke to be paid at sd Sandfords
Store house in the County of Accamack aforesd, to the which paym^t well faithfully & truely to
be made to the Said Samuel:Sandford or his true & Lawfull Atto^rney his Heirs Exte^rs &
Adm^rs firmly by these p^resents as wittness my hand & Seal this Seaventh day of ffebry
1689 .
