On the Said Land and other harms to him (he did) agt the publick Peace whereby the
Said Dft hath forfeited the (said) Recognizance and the Said Sum of of tenn pounds
Sterling money of England, become due to their Maties . Therefore their Maties Attorney
hereupon brings this Suite                  James:Sangster Clr Indtmts.
 
   The Indictmt Read was pr Court Quasht.
 
          To their Maties Worll. Justices of the Peace for the County of Somerset in Crt Sitting
The humble Petion of Thomas Beauchamp Sheweth B  That Whereas yr Petioners
ffathers Estate was appraised to fourteen pounds twelve Shillings & four pence as pr Record
doth appear. Your humble Petioner having paid the following accounts humbly prayes A
Quietus est from the Said Estate and as in duty bound Shall pray &ca.
 
       Thomas Beauchamp Dr to the Estate of                                                                  pr  Contra Cr.                    tob.
        his deceased ffather pr Appraismt.-  14,:  12s:   4d }  pr Tobacco pd mr Huett        800
 ,      s      d     pr ditto to my GrandMother  800
   4600lb. Of tobacco at 6:pr C. amts to                            13:   16:   4:       pr mr Heath pr Bll -   -   -     3000

Account Proved pr Oath of Thomas Beauchamp to be just & true in Court.
 
                 To the worll. their Maties. Justices of the Peace for the County of Somerset in Crt Sitting
The humble petion of Edward Jones humbly Sheweth that whereas
Your Petioner has paid four hundred pounds of tobacco for Mary.Maxwell She beeing (Sur-)
taken up, & yr petioner humbly Craves Order for how long the sd Maxwell must Serve
for the Said four hundred pounds of tobacco and your Petioner as in duty bound shall ever pray.
 
October ye first day. 1692.
I being in the house of mr Edward Jones who was very Lame & Sick he calld before me Mary
Maxwell, and askt her if She could deny that she had not runaway thirteen dayes from him
which She did not deny & that Jno:Starrett of Pocomoke hundred did Carry her before mr Tho.
Newbold & a Note to the aforesd Jones for two hundred pounds of tobacco and this he made
Oath to upon the holy Evangelists, as wittness my hand the day &  year above written
