In the Sum of twenty pounds Sterling money of England & the Said Daniel Hast in the Sum of Tenn pounds Sterling: due to leavied on their goods and Chattels Lands and Tennemts for their Maties uses &ca . ______ - - - - - - The Condicon of the abovesd Obligation is Such that if the above bound Thomas:Porter be of the good behavior & abearance to all their Maties Liege People of this Province, dureing this Courts pleasure, as also pay fourfold awarded with Cost of Suite then the Recognizance to be void & of none effect, Otherwayes to be & remaine in full power force & vertue . ___________ - - - - - - - - - - - - - Memorand upon the 11th day of 9ber ano. 1692. The abovesd Horse was brought to Courthouse. and the Justices in Court just upon their adjournment desired the foresd Jurors, to view the Said Horse and make report thereof. C And upon the day following (viz ) on ye twelvth day of sd Month the foresd Jurors on that Jury twixt their Maties & Thomas Porter made report to sd Court (viz) that they did upon their Oaths believe the said Horse after viewed to be mr Roger Woolfords horse Their Maties Somerset Sc. Thomas Porter of this County Planter Contr: } was attached to answer unto their Maties King Wm & Queen Thomas: Porter Mary Over England &ca. in a plea of debt. And whereupon ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ their Maties Attorney Comes & Sayes That the Said Thomas Porter in March Court Last past for Severall Causes, by their Maties Justices of the Peace then in Court Sitting, was bound by Recognizance in the Sum of tenn pounds Sterling money of England to be leavied on his goods & Chattels Lands & tennements The Condition of the Said Recognizance being Such. That if the Said Tho:Porter be of the good abearance & behavior to all their Maties Liedge people of this province Then the said Recognizance to be void &ca. But So it is Notwithstanding the Said Recognizance upon Record, the Said Dft the last week in April last did wittingly and Willingly drive up a Gang of Horses to the Plantation of mr ffrancis:Jenckins in Wiccocomocoe hundred & then & there broke down Severall pannels of the Said mr ffr. Jenckins his Pasture fence, though Often forbid & forewarned by Wm: Burch Tennant On |
