(receives) their Charge ( 118 ) 9ber 9th 1692 are sent forth to determine the Same _______ And this day to witt the 9th day of November ano 1692. The Jurors of the Jury aforesd returns to the barr in Court. and being perticuliarly calld by their names, & being demanded are all unanimously agreed of their verdict, the plt & Defendt. being calld. the verdict is thus read. viz. Wee of the Jury find John: Carey did felloniously kill three unmarked Swine, Contrary to Act of Assembly belonging to mr. ffrancis: Jenckins Conteining One hundred & fifty pounds of porke. Wm:Piper. foreman. ________ - - - - - - - ________ - - - - - - - - _____ The Court Orders the verdict to be Entered . _________________________ Ordered also that John Carey give Security for fourfold behavior & fees. Order the Jurors fees. Order into Sheriffs Custody till the aforesd Security given Whereupon Came the aforesd John:Carey with his two Securities viz Samuel: Jones & Thomas:Carey. and the Said John.did acknowledge & Confess himself to be indebted unto their Maties in the Sum of thirty pounds Sterling money of England. The said Jones & Tho Carey did in like manner aforesd acknowledge themselves to be indebted the Sum of twenty pounds a piece like money all due to be levied on their goods & Chattels lands & Tennements for their Maties uses &ca C The Condicon of the abovesd Obligacon is Such that if the above bound John:Carey be of the good behaviour dureing this Courts pleasure to all their Maties Liedge people of this Province as also pay the fourfold & Court Charges then the Recognizance to be void & of none effect Otherwayes to be & remaine in full power force & vertue _________ - - - - - - - ______ - - - - - ______ - - - - - - - - -_________ - - - - - - - - ______ Ordered by this Court that Wm:Layton & Wm:Burch give good Security for their appearance next Court to be holden the Second tuesday in January then & there to answer unto Such matters & things as Should be Objected agt them on Maties behalf Whereupon Came the Said Wm Layton with his Security Joseph Venables and the Said Layton did acknowledge and Confess himself to owe & be indebted to their Maties in the Sum of twenty pounds Sterling the sd Venables in the Sum of tenn pounds Sterling due to be leavied On their goods & Chattells lands & Tennements for |
