( 90 ) Maryland. Somerset County Ssc. William and Mary by the Grace of God of England Scotland ffrance and Ireland, King and Queen defenders of the faith &c. To Lawrence Crawford of Somerset County greeting, whereas Benjamin Keizer of the sd County deceased did by his last will and testament appoint you the sd Lawrence: Crawford and John: Emmett his Execcutors but the sd Emmett having in Open Court relinquished his Execcutorship, we do therefore grant unto you the sd Lawrence: Crawford full power and authority to Administer all and Singular the goods chattels and credits of the sd deceased, and to demand collect and leavy and in legall manner require and receive all & all manner of debt and debts due and owing to the sd deceased and well and faithfully to dispose of the same. and out of the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased, which have may or shall come to your hands or posession well and truly to pay the debts due by the sd deceased, so farr forth as the same will extend and the law will charge you according to the true value of the Sum thereof, you having first taken your Oaths well and truly to Admr. the Same, and to make or cause to be made a true & perfect Inventory of all and Singular the goods Chattels and Creditts of the said deceased, which have may or shall come to your hands posession or knowledge (appraised in money) and a true and just account of and upon your Administration therein, and to exhibit both into our County Court where wills are proved, according to power given by a Certain Ordinance of Assembly lawfully authorized. touching which Inventory you are presently assigned to performe or at furthest, at or before the Second tuesday in August next ensueing, an an account within twelve months from the date of these presents, and lastly we do hereby Constitute Ordain and appoint you the said Lawrence Crawford, Admr of all and Singular the goods Chattels & Creditts of the sd deceased. George: Layfield or mr James Round and you are to Certifie the true value of the sd goods and Chattels (appraised in money) under your hands & seals into our County Court held the second tuesday in August next after the date hereof, this by Order of Court dated the 10th. day of June in the 3d. year of their Maties Reign, Wm. & Mary, King and Queen Over England &c and in the year of our Lord God One thousand Six hundred ninety one. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Know all men by these prSents that we Lawrence: Crawford. James: Henderson Senr. James: Sangster of the County of Somerset and Province of Maryland Gent. do acknowledge & confess our Selves to owe & are indebted unto their Maties Wm. & Mary by the Grace of God of England &c the just Sum of Two hundred pound Sterling money of England, which we promise to pay to their Maties their Heirs or Successors, and for the true performance of the same to be well and truly paid we bind us and each of us our Heirs Extrs and Admrs firmly by these presents.
