Perfect & absolute Settling assureing and Conveying of the Said Tract of Land Called enlargement with The
appurtenances unto the Said John Miller his heires executrs: administrators or assignes or his or theire
Councell learned in the Lawes of this their Majesties Province of Maryland Shall be reasonably Devised ad(vised)

Memorandum That this day to witt the Ninth day of June in the Second year of the Reign of our Soverign
Lord & Lady William & Mary of England Scotland ffrance & Ireland by the gratious providence of God King
& Queene defenders of the Prodestant Religion &c Annoq: Dom: 1690 before us ffrancis Jenckins and Edmund
Howard Two of theire Maties Justices of y Peace in Sommerset County Came the within Named John Emmitt
and Hannah his wife in there Proper Persons and the Said Hannah being by us alone & Secretly examined
according to Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided Did acknowledge the Said Land Called
the enlargemt: in this within written Indendermture mentioned to be the Right of the within named
John Miller wch: he the Said John Miller hath purchased from & Satisfyed ffor unto the Said John Emmitt
& hannah his wife who for themselves theire heires and all & every the heires of the Sd: Hannah they will
said Land for ever warrant & defend unto him the Said John Miller his heires & assignes And for Th( )
acknowledgment all persons and both parties this pr:Sent Indenture are fully satisfyed and well

This Indenture made the twenty Six day of March in the thirteenth year of the Dominion of the Rt: honr:ble
Charles absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Province of Maryland & Avalon Lord Barron of Baltemore &c. and in
the year of our Lord God one Thousand Six hundred Eighty and Eight Betweene Henry Potter of Sommersett County
in the province of Maryland And Alce his wife of the one part And Richard Brittaine of the County & Province
aforesaid of the other Part Witnesseth That the above named Henry Potter and Alce his wife hath for y Consideration
of five Thousand five hundred pounds of Tobacco in hand paid by the within named Richard Brittaine before
ensealing & delivery hereof whereof and wherewith the Said Henry Potter & Alce his wife doth acknowledge them
Selves to be fully and wholy Satisfied and paid and doth of and for Every part and parcell acquitt & dischardge
Said Richard Britten his heires executors and administrators have given granted bargained Soulld feofed and
Confirmed And doe by these Presents fully and absolutely give graunte bargaine alienate Sell enfeofe & Confirme
unto the above Said Richard Brittain his heires and assignes for Ever all that Parcell of Land Called Hasfords Purchase
Lying on the east Side of Chesepeake bay near Pocomoke river on the westemost Side of Morumsco Creeke beginning
at A marked oak white oake Standing on the North Side of a Small glade of Marsh thence with A line drawne North
Northeast up the Said CreekeSide for bredth Twenty Six perches to a marked red oake thence for Length with a Line d-
Northwest five hundred thirty four perches thence with A Line drawne South Southwest Ninety three perches
from thence with A right Line drawne to the first bounder Containing Two hundred acres more or Lesse Together
with all & Singuler the roomes Sellors halls Parlours Chambers houses Courts yards gardens orchards Closes ffences
woods underwoods Timber or Timberlike trees and other heriditaments emoluments and appurtenances
thereunto belonging And alsoe the Said Henry Potter and Alce his wife hath allienated and Sold unto the Said
Richard Brittaine his heires and assignes for Ever all & Singular the Letters Pattents and Chyrographies whatsoeever
unto the Said Two hundred acres of land appertaining and belonging To have and to hold The Said
Two hundred acres of Land and all & Singular the premisses hereby mentioned to be bargained & Sold
Every of them with their & every of their appurtenances & the reversions and remainders as of them un(to the)
Said Richard Brittain and to the heires and assignes of the Said Richard Brittain for Ever without any
