29 Truitt by Elizabeth Stevens relict & executrix of William Stevens late of Sommersett County in this Province Esqr: Deceased as witnes our hands the 17th: July 1689 ~ ~ William Coulbourne The ffine for allinacon received according Edmund Howard to act of assembly for the within Mentioned allienation Wm: Brereton Sheriff Intr: y 30th: June Annogr: Dom 1690 pr mee Edm: Beauchamp Cler Cur This Indenture made the Twenty Third day of Aprill in the Second year of the Reigne of our Sovereign Lord and Lady King William and Queene Mary over England &c And in the year of our Lord God one - Thousand Sixhundred and Ninety Betweene Thomas Miller of Sommersett County in the Province of Maryland Sommersett and Province of Maryland Esqr: of the other Part Witnesseth That whereas the Lord Baltemore by his Deed of graunt under the great Seale used in the Province of Maryland for graunting of Lands there bearing date at y Citty of St: Maryes in the aforesaid Province of Maryland the one and Twentyeth day of November in the Sixth year of his Lordshipps Dominion over the Said Province of Maryland Annoqr. Dom: one Thousand Six hundred Eighty and one Did for the Consideracon therein - mentioned graunt unto John Anderson of the aforesaid County and Province of Maryland all that ~ parcell of Land Called Hogg Quarter Scituated Lieing & being on the South Side of Pocomoke river in Som- mersett County County Containing Thirteene hundred and fifty acres more or Lesse To have and to hold the same to him the said John Anderson his heires and assignes for Ever under Such rents Covenants Limitations & exceptions as in and by the Said Deed of Graunt (recourse being thereunto had) more fully and more at Large it may & doth appeare And Since vizt: on the Sixteenth day of December in the Seaventh year of his Said LordShipps Dominion one Thousand Six hundred Eighty and one The Said John Anderson by his Certain Deed of Indenture Duely executed and enrolled in the Said County of Somr:Sett the 14th: day of Janry: Annoqr:Dor:1681~ Did make over unto the above named Collo:William Stevens the abovesaid Thirteene hundred & fifty acres of Land Called hogg quarter To have and to hold the Same to him the Said William Stevens and to his heires and assignes for Ever And Since vizt on the Seaventeenth day of August in the Eight year of the Dominion of the Rt:honr:ble ~ Charles absolute Lord & Proprietary of the Province of Maryland Lord Baron of Baltemore &c and in the year of our Lord God one Thousand Six hundred Eighty and three The Said Collo:William Stevens and Elizabeth his wife by their Certaine Deed of Indenture Duely executed & enrolled in the Sd:County of Somr:Set the Sixth day of october Annogr Dom: 1683 for the Consideration therein mentioned Did give graunt bargaine Sell ffeoffe and Confirme unto the above named Thomas Miller and to his heires and assignes for Ever a part of the above Sd: parcell of Land Called Hogg quarter to the quantity of ffoure hundred and fifty acres bounded as followeth beginning at a great marked pine Standing by a branch backward in the woods near a Cypress Swamp and running from the Said pine Southeast halfe a point Southerly Two hundred & five perches to a Live oake Standing near a white marsh and from the Said oake with a Line drawne Southwest Two hundred and Sixty perches to a Little white oake Standing in a branch being the head of Houlstons Creeke And from the said oake by A Lyne drawn Northerwest halfe a point Northerly one hundred Ninety five perches to A white oake And from the said oake west & by North twenty Eight perches to a Stooping white oake and from yt oake northwest halfe a pointe Northerly with yt Course untill it runs to the Divisionall Line betweene Convenience and Hogg quarter and from the end of the ~ aforesaid Line by a right Line to the first bounder the great Pine by a branchSide as aforesaid Containing ffour hundred and fifty acres more or Lesse and is Now Called Millers Lott Together with all its rights Priviledges & bennefitts thereunto belonging on those Conditions as by the Said Indenture (recourse being thereunto had) more fully & more at Lardge it may & doth appear Now this Indenture further wittnesseth That the above named Thomas |
