223 Somerset County in Maryland: Know all men by these presents that wee John: Kemp Planter & Thomas: Winder Gent Stands justly indebted unto their Maties King William: & Queen Mary Over England &ca in ye Just Sum of fourty pound Sterling money to be leavied upon ther goods Chattels &ca. To the true paymt of which to be pd to their Maties above mentioned we doe bind us or Heirs Extrs or Admrs joyntly & Severally as wittness our hands & Seals ye 17th:day of June ano,Dom 1692 & in the 4th. year of ther Reign of our Soveraigne Lord & Lady King Wm. & Queen Mary. Over England &ca. -- The Condicon of this Obligation is Such that if the above bounden John: Kemp, shall be of his good abearance unto all their Maties Liedge People of our last March Court held for this County & likewise pay Cost of the said Suit to the Officers whom they belong unto. Know ye that I Andrew: Whittington of Monokin in the County of Somerset & Province of Maryland, for Several good Causes & Serious Considerations me . hereunto moving. as also for the natural love and affection that I beare & have unto my daughter Elizabeth Whittington alias ffausett have given granted, and do by these presents freely voluntaryly & absolutely give & grant all & Singular that percel & tract of Land known by the name of Downes Lott. Containing & laid out for two hundred Acres more or less & lying in Monokin. being part of Two thousand eight hundred Acres formerly belonging unto mr Randall Revell, with all & Singular the Rights profits and benefits thereunto belonging. with houses, Orchards, & inclosures to her the said Elizabeth Whittington alias ffausett & to her husband William: ffausett & to the Heirs of her body lawfully begotten for ever. - To have and to hold. The said percell & tract of Land Called Downes s lott to them the sd Eliz. - & William & to her Heirs as aforesd. freely clearly absolutely from me the aforesd Andrew: Whittington - my Heirs Execcutors & Admrs for ever, without any Claim, title, or interest that I the said Andrew or my aforesd can or may have hereafter to the said Two hundred Acres. Giving & granting to them the sd Elizabeth & William & her aforesds Deed & State in the said Land by delivery of one turf & twigg in behalf of the whole as by this Said Deed of guift is intended & meaned. in wittness whereof I have hereunto Sett my hand & fixed my Seal - this 15th: day of July 1692: and the 4th: year of the Reign of or Soverigne Lord & Lady William: & Mary King & Queen Over England &ca.
