( 221 ) Maryland ano Dom 1689 /
This Indenture made the ninth day of October in the eleaventh year of the Dominion of the right honble
Charles Absolute Lord and Propryetary of the Province of Maryland & Avalon Lord Barron of Baltimore &ca
Between Katherine Dreddon of the One part and Randall Revell Senr in the County of Somerset in the aforesd
Province Gent on the other party Wittnesseth that the aforesd Katherine Dreddon by & with the Consent of
her Mother & friends hath put her Self an Apprentice unto the abovesd Randall Revell and thereby doth --
Consent and bind her Self to Serve in the sd Apprentiship for the term & time of fifteen years from the -
date hereof, in which time of fifteen years the sd Randall for himself his Heirs and Assigns doth prmise
to use his endeavours to learn to learn the sd Katherine Such things as are usually taught to Such Apprentises --
(in) the like kind and shall find and allow unto the sd Apprentice dureing the said Term of fifteen years --
Sufficient of meat, drink washing and lodging. And the sd Katherine doth promise for her Self & with the
Consent of her Mother Margerett, to use all her skill & utmost endeavour to learn & doe all Such Service &
employment as shall be taught her by the sd Randall Revell or his Assigns dureing the sd Term of fifteen
years fully to be Compleatly finished and ended at the expiration of which time I the sd Randall doe give or
allow unto the sd Katherine all things due according to the Custom of the Country. In Wittness whereof the said
Katherine and her Mother hath put to their hands and Seals the day and year forst above exprest. _________

mr John King and mr Stephene Horsey Gentlemen Comissioners. Joyntly & Severally to keep the Peace in Somerset
County and to keep & Cause to be kept all Laws & Orders for the good & Conservation of the Peace, and for the Quiet rule
& Government of the people in all and every the Articles of the same, And to Chastise & punish all persons offending
against the forme of any of the Laws & Orders of this our Province or of any of them in Somerset County aforesaid, as
according to the forme of those Laws & Orders shall be fitt to be done. Wee have also Constituted & Ordained you and every
four or more of you of which you the said mr ffrancis: Jenckins. Capt. John: Winder mr James: Dashiel & mr Roger -
Woolford allwayes to be One of the Comissiones to enquire by the Oaths of good and lawfull men of yr County afsd of all
manner of felonies, Witchcrafts, Inchantments Sorceries, Magick Art, trespasses forestallings, Ingrossings & forfietures
Extortions whatsoever, And of all and Singular other misdeeds & offences (Excepting matters relating to titles of
Land) of which Justices of the Peace in England, may or ought lawfully to enquire by whomsoever or whensoever --
