Maryland Sc. William & Mary by the grace of God of England Scotland ffrance & Ireland King & Queen defendrs
of the faith &ca. to all Gentlemen ffreemen & others persons of our County of Somerset Greeting. Whereas
we have Comitted to you the said Stephen: Luffe Sheriffe of our said County of Somerset our sd County
with the appertenances to be by him kept from the date from the date hereof for one whole year or until
another Sheriffe in his Stead shall be by our Patent lawfully Constituted Wee doe therefore hereby Comand
you and every of yw to be aiding and assisting to the said Stephen: Luffe as high sheriffe of our sd County
in all things that to the Office of high Sheriffe of our sd County doth appertaine Hereof yw are in no wise
to omitt as you will answer the Contrary. Wittness our trusty and welbeloved Lionel: Copley Esqr. Capt Genrll
and Governor in Chief in and over our said Province & Territoryes of Maryland the eleaventh day of
