agt } Ordered by the Court that the Sheriffe of St. Maryes County deliver up the sd Criminals
James: Inglish into Custody of the sheriffe of Somerset County, who is here by the sd Court Comanded
to
& Wm: Mason } Secure them, So that he have their bodies before the Justices of the next Somerset County

the said Mason & Inglish upon presentment lately award.

The abovesd Order being Read. mr Peter Elzey. became Security for the sd Inglish & Masons
appearance at the next Court to be holden for this County. or when the next last Acts of Assembly are
produced here.

Somerset County the 14th. June 1692
To the worll. Court Setting this day Alexandr. Humber Petioneth & Sheweth. That whereas he
Served ten years with mr Selby. three years with Richard Holland & with Thomas: Oxford. and for this three
years past by a hurt that I gott in mr Selbyes Service, two hhds of tobacco raling out of the Cart upon -
me, and bruising my Stomack, I have ever Since laboured under great pain & illness, which hath of late So -
increased upon me that I am now brought So low and wasted, that I am in no wise , able to help my Self, but
must needs perish, without Some Charitable asistance. I your worps. Petioner, doe therefore humbly implore
yw to Cast an eye of Compassion upon me, as the good Samiratane did, on the poor wounded impotent man &
extend your Charitie towards me a litle in this my helpless condition. which is well enough known to be no
feyned thing, but that I am a real Object of pitty & Charity, & in the eye of reason, can but Subsist a litle
longer with life, So it will not be much I shall need. the Lord Open your hearts to extend your mercy to me
and I shall pray allmighty God to requite every one of your worshipps his marke

The abovesd Petion being read & Considered, this Court doth allow, to those persons that shall have
the Care & keeping the sd Alexandr. Humber till November Court and finding him a new Shirt; the
Sum of Six hundred pounds of tobacco. but if the sd Alexandr. dye before that time, then the prsons
aforesd to be allowed pro rato.
