Know all men by these presents that I Samuell . Paull of Tapsham. Marriner doe acknowledge my Self
to Stand justly indebted unto mr Thomas: Jones of Sumerset County in the Province of Maryland Merchant
in the just and full Sum of One thousand pounds Sterling currant lawfull money of England to be paid
unto the said Thomas: Jones his Heirs Execcutors Administrators or Assigns, to the which payment to be
made and done, I the said Samuel Paull doe bind my Selfe my Heirs, Execcutors Administrators or Assigns
firmly by these presents. I have hereunto Sett my hand and Seal this fourth day of August 1690 . - - - - -
Whereas the above named Samuell: Paull and Thomas Jones are joynt Partners in the Ketch Speedwell =
together with all and every part of her present Loading and that the said Jones wholly confides & depends
upon the integrity and honesty of the said Samuell: Paull, for to render a just accompt of the Produce of
the Same. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Therefore the Condition of this Obligation is Such that if the above bounden Samuell: Paull shall render
a just and full accompt of all and every of the product of the said Ketch and Cargoe in Some reasonable
time after the disposall of the Same, that then this Obligation to be void and of no effect, Other wayes
to Stand in full force and vertue in Law. as wittnesse my hand and Seale the day above written. 1690 --

John: Porter, being duely Sworne upon the holy Evavangelist that they have Seen the
above Paull Sign Seal & deliver the above Bond.

The Court being calld. the Comission to the Justices & Comrs. were read. then all the Comissioners above sd
took the Oaths prscribed by Act of Parliamt. as also the Oath of a Justice of the Peace - - - - - - - _______
Then John: West was Sworn, who took the Oaths prscribed pr Act of Parlmt and to Officiate as Clerk of
the Court justy & truly according to the best of his skill & judgmt.
Then was the Sheriffs Comission read. & ye Said Sher. mr Stephen Luffe took ye Oaths prscribed pr act of Parliamt
and also the Oath of a Sheriffe. viz to performe his Office faithfully.
