April 18th. 1692 ( 210 ) - - - - - - - - - - Samuel: Davis this day brought before the worll. Court a Child named Katherine Trubshaw Daughter of John: Trubshaw decd, the sd Samuel having contracted with Martha: Aldridge to keep the sd Child till June Court next. but the said Martha contrary to agreemt. hath turnd the Child out of doors: therefore the Court Orders that she the said Martha Aldridge doe keep the said Child till June Court next according to bargain - - - - - - - ________ - - - - - - - _______ - - - - - - - - - ________ - - - - - - - - _________ The Court in pursuance to a Provincial precept. doe Order that a Special Court be held in this County at the Court house upon Thursday the 28th: day of this Instant month of April Anno Dom 1692 for the Electing of Burgesses. ________ - - - - - - _______ - - - - - _______ - - - - - - - - ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Maryland Sc. Know all men by these presents that I James Maynard of the County and Province aforesd, Innholder Somerset County} doe acknoweldge and Confess my Self to owe & Stand justly indebted unto their Maties or their Officers appointed to receive it the Sum of fourty pound Sterl. to be pd when demanded, to the true prformance of which I doe bind my Self my Heirs. Extrs or Admrs. firmly by these presents, as in wittness hereof I have hereunto Sett my hand & fixed my Seal this 14th. day of March in the 4th: year of their Maties Reign anog Dom. 1691/2: The Condition of this Obligation is Such that if Margeret Kenedy be of her good behaviour to all their Maties liege People & also pay the fourfold of what was Ordered by the last Court held for this County to these persons unto whome it is due, & likewise to pay Cost of Suit, then this Obligation to be void & of no effect or else to be and remain in full force strength & vertue. Be it known unto all men whome it may Concern that I John: Carter Senr. for many Causes to my Self best known, moveing does freely give unto my Sonn. James Carter, all my Land whereon I now live to witt three hundred Acres Brickell Howe & two hundred & fifty Long Hedge as also three hundred acres at the Seaside Lying upon Swanicut. Joyning to Nathaniel: Oesi Called Speedwell as also I doe frely give my Sd Sonn James all my Stock & moveables to the value of a penny to him and his Heirs for Ever, not ever to be Claimed by me or any Assigns for me, or for me the said James Carter to be firmly invested - with the Land & Stock to Sell give or make use of as he shall think fitt, This I John: Carter do Confirm - under our hand and Seal by and with Consent of Mary my wife, this twenty Sixth day of March Anno.
