Justices of their Maties Peace for the County of Somerset in Court Sitting ~ ~ ~ The Petion of Thomas: Selby Senior humbly sheweth . ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Whereas your worpps. petioner humbly Sheweth that the Sea Side Road from BogatoeNorton Creek to John: Smocks was the first road Cleared, and now is neglected & Slighted & to our Conveniencie & dammage are Compelled to Clear Roads by the Bay Side, your Petioner humbly Craves that according to former Orders of Court the Sea Side Roads may be Cleared by the Neighbour Inhabitants living upon the Sea Side, and your worpps Petioner as in duty bound Shall ever pray &c . ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Petion granted and Ordered that Thomas Selby doe See that the Overseers & Neighbours cause the Roads to be Cleared _____ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ _______ ~ ~ ~ _____ Ordered by this Court that mr Thomas Jones and mr Thomas Evernden. doe Arbitrate and finally determine the difference betwixt: Capt. Whereupon Coll Browne: Majr King & mr Hopkins declared to the people present, that they did not understand that any thing but Indian Corne was the last Convention prohibited for being trasported out of this Province they being Burgesses for this County and of the Committee ye last Convention . ~ ~ ~ _____ ~ ~ ~ Then was the Publick Ordinance Read & Ordered to be Recorded ___ ~ ~ ~ ___ mr. Peter Dent Supplicated the Court, that he might be Clerk of the Indictmts in this Court according to Comission from mr. Plater= But the last Ordinance of Assembly giving the Court full power to Constitute their Clerk of Indtmts. Their worpps has thought fitt still to continue mr.
