Annapolis located at the southwest corner formed by the
intersection of Cathedral and Franklin Streets, with im-
provements, for the consideration of Five Dollars.

WHEREAS, By Chapter 512 of the Acts of 1902 appropria-
tion was made by the State of Maryland for the purpose of
purchasing at Annapolis a lot of ground and a building for
the purpose of an Emergency Hospital; provided that the
title in the property so purchased should be in the name of
the State of Maryland; and

WHEREAS, In accordance with said Chapter 512, Acts of
1902, the sum of $3, 500. 00 so appropriated was used by the
Board of. Managers of the Emergency Hospital Association
of Annapolis, a body corporate, in purchasing a lot of ground
in the said City of Annapolis, located at the southwest cor-
ner formed by the intersection of Cathedral and Franklin
Streets, improved by a frame dwelling, and title to said lot
was taken in the name of the State of Maryland, as will
fully appear by reference to a Deed from Edwin A. Seide-
witz, et al., dated May 31, 1902, and recorded among the
Land Records of Anne Arundel County in Liber G. W. No.
26, folio 128; and

WHEREAS, The said dwelling was converted into a hos-
pital, but, owing to the rapid growth of said hospital and
the inadequacy of the building to accommodate the patients
applying for treatment, it became necessary to erect a new
and suitable hospital building; and

WHEREAS, Since said conveyance of land was made to the
State of Maryland the Emergency Hospital Association of
Annapolis has acquired, in its own name, other parcels or
lots of ground and has rebuilt the hospital building and
made numerous improvements otherwise; and

WHEREAS, The Board of Managers of the Emergency Hos-
pital Association of Annapolis are considering the building
of an addition to the present hospital building, wherefore
it would be desirable that said Emergency Hospital Associa-
tion of Annapolis should hold title to all of the lands used
by it for hospital purposes.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of Public Works of the State of Mary-
land convey, by deed, to Emergency Hospital Association of
Annapolis, a body corporate, its successors and assigns, in
fee simple, all that lot of ground lying in the City of Anna-
polis at the southwest corner formed by the intersection of
Cathedral and Franklin Streets, with improvements, which
by Deed dated May 31, 1902 and recorded among the Land
