SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That Sections 78A, as
added by Chapter 343 of the Acts of 1945, 79, 80, 81, 83 and
84, of Article 16 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939
Edition), title ''Chancery", sub-title "Infants", be, and they
are hereby repealed.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That Sections 78 and 82
of Article 16 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edi-
tion), title "Chancery", sub-title "Infants", be, and they are
hereby repealed except as to Garrett, Allegany, Washington,
Prince George's, Calvert, Charles, and St. Mary's Counties.

SEC. 4A. And be it further enacted, That it is hereby de-
clared as to the legislative intent in the enactment of Sec-
tion 139A of Article 93 of the Annotated Code (1939 Edi-
tion), title "Testamentary Law", sub-title "Distribution", as
said section was enacted by Chapter 599 of the Acts of 1947,
that said section was intended to be State-wide in applica-
tion and effect, and that it shall hereafter be so applied
and understood.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
been passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths
of all of the members elected to each of the two Houses of
the General Assembly of Maryland, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 20.
(Senate Bill 24)

AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to sundry gifts, bequests and de-
vises contained in the Last Wills and Testament of cer-
tain persons, deceased, and also to certain gifts, grants,
sales, leases and deeds made by various persons to and
for the use and benefit of sundry ministerial persons, re-
ligious corporations, vestries, educational and charitable
institutions, churches, denominations or sects hereinafter
named.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of said General As-
sembly of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared,
