$700 of said sum to the Treasurer of the Middletown Volun-
teer Fire Company, $700 of said sum to the Treasurer of
the Walkers ville Volunteer Fire Company, $200 of said sum
to the Treasurer of the Mt. Airy Fire Company, $500
of said sum to the Treasurer of the Braddock Heights
Volunteer Fire Company of Braddock Heights, $450 of said
sum to the Treasurer of the New Midway Fire Company of
New Midway, $700 of said sum to the Treasurer of the
Myersville Volunteer Fire Company of Myersville, $200 of
said sum to the Treasurer of the Blue Ridge Summit Fire
Company, and $500 of said sum to the Treasurer of the
Citizens Truck Company of Frederick, the said sums to be
applied by the respective companies for their maintenance
and support.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency measure and necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public health and safety and
having been passed 'by a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 56.
(House Bill 18)

AN ACT to facilitate the expansion and enlargement of the
park system in that portion of the Maryland-Washington
Metropolitan District lying within Prince George's
County by empowering The Maryland-National Capital
Park and Planning Commission, for the greater wel-
fare of the residents of Prince George's County, to
take advantage of the additional benefits accruing
under the Act of the Congress of the United States
(Public Law No. 284—71st Congress) approved May
29, 1930. popularly known as the Capper-Cramton Act, as
amended by Public Law No. 699—79th Congress, approved
August 8, 1946; to extend the boundaries of that portion
of the Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District lying
within Prince George's County by adding certain areas
thereto so as to permit the acquisition therein by said The
Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission
of certain of the parks referred to in said amendment to
said Act of Congress; to raise the limitation on indebted-
ness imposed upon said The Maryland-National Capital
Park and Planning Commission so as to enable said Com-
