be paid and a similar notice shall be attached to, or printed
on the back of each bill so rendered or sent out as herein-
before provided. That said banking institutions shall make
a prompt report on the first Monday of each month of its
collections, said collections to be subject to the order of the
Treasurer, and Five Cents ($. 05) per tax bill shall be allow-
ed said banking institutions for such services.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1st, 1948.

CHAPTER 55.
(House Bill 17)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
122 of Article 11 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Frederick County", sub-
title "Fire companies", as said section was amended by
Chapter 771 of the Acts of 1943, increasing the payments
to be made by the County Commissioners of Frederick
County to the Braddock Heights Volunteer Fire Company.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 122 of Article 11 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Frederick
County, " sub-title "Fire Companies, " as said section was
amended by Chapter 771 of the Acts of 1943, be and it is
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:
122. The County Commissioners of Frederick County are
authorized and directed to levy on the assessable property
of Frederick County for the year 1948 and annually there-
after the sum of $7, 750 to be paid on or before the first
day of January 1948, and annually thereafter on or be-
fore the first day of January in each and every year;
$500 of said sum to the Treasurer of the Independent Hose
Company of Frederick, $500 of said sum to the Treasurer
of the Junior Steam Fire Engine Company of Frederick,
$500 of said sum to the Treasurer of the United Steam Fire
Engine Company of Frederick, $800 of said sum to the
Treasurer of the Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company of
Brunswick, $800 of said sum to the Treasurer of the Vigilant
Hose Company of Emmitsburg, $700 of said sum to the
Treasurer of the Guardian Hose Company of Thurmont,
