requested to apply to the proper department of the
government
of the United States, at Washington, to obtain
the return of all of the muster and pay rolls or certified
copies thereof, or other evidence of the services of
commissioned, non-commissioned officers, musicians,
or privates, of the State of Maryland, who were in the
service of the United States, in the war with Great
Britain, declared by the United States on the eighteenth
day of June, eighteen hundred and twelve, so that the
surviving, or the widow or minor children of deceased
commissioned and non-commissioned officers, musicians
or privates who were in the service as aforesaid,
may be enabled to establish their just claims to the
bounty land granted by the act passed by the Congress
of the United States, and approved September the
twenty-eighth, eighteen hundred and fifty.

Resolution authorising the Adjutant General to deliver
certain arms, &c., to the State
Rifles.

Resolved by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the Adjutant General be and he is hereby authorised
to deliver to the Professors of Saint John's College,
for the use of the State Rifles, a military corps of students
attached to said college, any number of cadet
arms and accoutrements, if they can be spared, from the
armory, or such others as can be furnished, not less
than fifty of each, on the Professors giving bond for
the safe keeping and return of the same, as the Adjutant
General may require.
