                           CHAPTER 421.

AN ACT appropriating a sum of money therein named,
     to be paid to William Price, Samuel Tyler and Frederick
     Stone, Commissioners to revise, simplify and
     abridge the rules of practice of the Courts of this
     State, to defray the expense of printing so much of
     their work as may be completed before the meeting of
     the next General Assembly, and as a partial compensation
     for their services; and for the payment to Otho
     Scott and Hiram McCullough, Commissioners appointed
     to codify the laws, of the sum of two thousand
     dollars, for the printing of so much of the code
     as is prepared, and other expenses incidental thereto.



     Passed May
31, 1853.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the sum of two thousand dollars,
be and the same is hereby appropriated out of any unappropriated
money in the treasury, for the payment of
the expense of printing so much of their work as may
be completed by William Price, Samuel Tyler and
Frederick Stone, Commissioners to revise, simplify and
abridge the rules of practice, pleadings, forms of conveyances
and proceedings of the courts of this State,
before the meeting of the next General Assembly, and
as a partial compensation for the services of the commissioners.
     Sum appropriated.
     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That the said commissioners
are hereby authorised to contract for and have
printed under their own discretion and control, so much
of their work as may be completed before the meeting
of the next General Assembly.
     To contract
for printing.
     SEC. 3.  And be it enacted, That the Treasurer be
and he is hereby authorised and directed, on the warrant
of the Comptroller, to pay to the said commissioners,
William Price, Samuel Tyler and Frederick Stone,
upon their joint requisition, the sum of two thousand
dollars, at any time after the first day of June next, to
be applied by them to the purposes specified in the first
section of this act.
     Authority to
pay.
     SEC. 4.  And be it enacted, That the sum of two
thousand dollars be paid by the Treasurer, on the warrant
of the Comptroller, to Otho Scott and Hiram McCullough,
commissioners appointed to codify the laws,
or so much thereof as may be necessary, to pay the
expenses which the said commissioners may incur for
printing, stationery, copying and other incidental expenses
     Authority to
