CHAPTER 402.
AN ACT appropriating a sum of money to pay Thomas
A. Mitchell for repairing the State
House.

Be it enacted by the General
Assembly of Maryland,
That the treasurer, upon the warrant of the comptroller,
be, and he is hereby directed to pay to Thomas
A. Mitchell the sum of one hundred and forty-seven
dollars, for repairing the roof on the north side of
the State House, and furnishing and repairing the
spouting around the same.

CHAPTER 403.
AN ACT fixing the time for the Comptroller of the
Treasury to bond, qualify and enter upon the duties
of his office.

Be it enacted by the General
Assembly of Maryland,
That the comptroller of treasury shall hereafter
be required to file his bond, and qualify by making
the declaration and taking the oaths prescribed
by the constitution and laws of this State, on or before
the second Wednesday of January next ensuing his
election; on which said second Wednesday of January
the term of said office shall commence.
