the act of eighteen hundred and two, chapter one hundred
and eleven, under the name of the Evangelical Reformed
church, of Frederick, and said corporation
prays the assent of the Legislature to the said legacy,
and that it be authorised to receive the same; Therefore,

     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the assent of the Legislature is
hereby given to the legacy of one hundred and fifty
dollars, bequeathed by Mary Buckey, late of Frederick
county, deceased, in and by her last will and testament,
to the Consistory of the German Reformed church of
Frederick town, and that the payment thereof to the
Evangelical Reformed church of Frederick, shall be as
good and valid as if the same were made to the said
Consistory, and the said Consistory was, and, at the date
of the said will, had been, a body corporate, and able
and capable in law of receiving the same.
Assent given.
     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.
In force.


                                   CHAPTER 65.

AN ACT to authorise the President and Managers of
     the Baltimore General Dispensary, to hold additional
     property.

18, 1853.
     WHEREAS, The amount of property which the president
and managers of the Baltimore General Dispensary,
is authorised at any one time to hold, is by the
second section of the act of the General Assembly of
Maryland, passed at November session eighteen hundred
and seven, chapter one hundred and ten, limited to the
value of fifteen thousand dollars; And whereas, in
order the more effectually to promote the laudable object
thereof, it is desirable that the said corporation
shall be empowered to hold an increased amount of property;
Now therefore,
Preamble.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That so much of the second section of
the aforesaid act of Assembly, as provides that the value
of the property, to be held at any one time by the said
corporation, shall not exceed fifteen thousand dollars,
be, and the same is hereby repealed.
Repealed.
