said county a plat of said road and landing, with their
valuation of the lands aforesaid, and the damages by
them assessed, together with all the expenses attending
the execution of this act, and from and after payment of
tender of payment of the amount assessed as compensation
therefor, the road and landing which they shall
have located as aforesaid, shall be forever public.

     SEC. 3.  And be it enacted, That any party interested
may take an appeal to the next circuit court of the
county, after the return of said examiners, shall have
been made, and in the trial of the appeal either party
may demand a jury for the trial of the issue or issues
involved.
Right of appeal.
     SEC. 4.  And be it enacted, That the county commissioners
of said county are hereby authorised to levy
on the assessable property of the county, an amount
of money sufficient to defray all costs, damages and
expenses accruing from the execution of this act, and
to pay to the owner of said land the amount that may
be awarded to him by said examiners or by the circuit
court in case of an appeal.
     Authority to
levy.
     SEC. 5.  And be it enacted, That the examiners who
shall be appointed under this act shall be entitled to
two dollars for every day they shall be necessarily engaged
in the execution of this act.
 Per diem.
     SEC. 6.  And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from its passage.

                           CHAPTER 385.

AN ACT to regulate the compensation of the Judges
       of the Orphan's Court for Baltimore City.



     Passed May
28, 1853.
     SECTION 1.  Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland,
That the register of the city of Baltimore,
be, and he is hereby authorised and required to
pay to the judges of the Orphan's court for Baltimore
city, upon the first day of each and every month their
compensation.
Authority to
pay.
     SEC. 2.  And be it enacted, That all other acts inconsistent
with this act be, and the same are hereby repealed.
Repealed.
