SEC. 13. And be it enacted,
That so much of the
act of December session eighteen hundred and fifty-one,
chapter two hundred and thirty-one, entitled an act for
the formation of corporations for moral, scientific, literary,
dramatic, agricultural, or charitable purposes,
and for the incorporation of uniform volunteer companies,
fire engine or hose companies, and benevolent,
beneficial and musical associations, as relates to the formation
of uniform volunteer companies in the city of
Baltimore, be, and the same are hereby repealed.

Repealed.

SEC. 14. And be it enacted,
That this act shall go
into effect from the passage thereof; and it shall be the
duty of the Adjutant General immediately upon its
passage to transmit a copy of this act to the Major General
commanding the first light division of Maryland
volunteers, who shall cause it to be published without
delay in at least three of the daily newspapers published
in the city of Baltimore.

CHAPTER 344.
AN ACT to amend an act entitled, an act to provide
that the answers of defendants, in proceedings in
Equity, shall not be evidence against complainants,
unless such answers be required by the complainants
to be under oath, passed at January session, eighteen
hundred and fifty-two, chapter one hundred and thirty-three.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, and it is hereby declared, That the act
entitled, an act to provide that the answers of defendants
in proceedings in equity, shall not be evidence
against complainants, unless such answers be required
by the complainants to be under oath, passed at January
session, eighteen hundred and fifty-two, chapter one
hundred and thirty-three, shall not extend to any bill
or petition that has been or shall hereafter be filed for
discovery only.
