SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That whenever in any
bill or petition, other than for discovery only, which
has been, since the passage of the aforementioned act
or which shall hereafter be filed in any court of equity
of this State, the answer thereto shall not be required
to be made under oath, such answer may be made
without oath, and such answer without oath, if the bill
or petition be now sworn to, or such answer under oath,
if the bill or petition be sworn to, shall be of the same
force and effect as evidence as such bill or petition.

That this act shall take
effect from and after its passage.

CHAPTER 345.
AN ACT appropriating a sum of money to pay for printing
blank licenses, making permanent fixtures in the
Comptroller's office, and for advertising.
|

SECTION 1. Be
it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sum of eight hundred and
fifty-one dollars and fifteen cents be, and the same is
hereby appropriated for the payment of the expenses of
printing blank licenses, ordered in conformity to an act
passed at the present session of the General Assembly,
and for the payment of permanent fixtures in the Comptroller's
office, and for advertising.

SEC. 2. And
be it enacted, That of the sum so appropriated
by the first section of this act, the Treasurer
is hereby authorised and directed to pay, upon the warrant
of the Comptroller, to James Lucas, of Baltimore
city, two hundred and eighty-eight dollars; to Thomas
E. Martin, one hundred and ninety-six dollars and
twenty-five cents; to Beale H. Richardson, thirty-nine
dollars and eighty-seven cents; to Thomas A. Mitchell,
twenty-eight dollars and sixteen cents; to McDowell
and Gable, sixty-five dollars and thirty-one cents; to
F. M. and H. F. Baughman, forty-six dollars, and to
John M. Davis, one hundred and eighty-seven dollars
and fifty-six cents.
