CHAPTER 311.
AN ACT to prevent Horse Racing on the public roads
in Kent County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by
the General Assembly
of Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for any person
or persons to run on any of the public roads of
Kent county, any horse, horses, mare, mares, gelding
or geldings, for the purpose or purposes of racing horses,
and any person or persons offending against this law,
shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and be liable
to presentment by the grand jury of Kent county, and
if convicted of the offence charged in such presentment,
shall be fined a sum not less than five, nor more than
fifty dollars for each offence, to be collected as other
fines and penalties now are.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted,
That all fines collected
under the provisions of this act, shall be paid over to
the clerk of the circuit court of Kent county, for the
benefit of the primary school fund of Kent county.

CHAPTER 312.
AN ACT to change the names of Francis Thomas
Coberth, Charles Thomas Coberth and Anna Mary
Coberth, to Francis Thomas Anderson, Charles
Thomas Anderson and Anna Mary Anderson.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted
by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the names of Francis Thomas
Coberth, Charles Thomas Coberth, and Anna Mary
Coberth, of Calvert county, and State of Maryland,
be, and the same are hereby respectively altered and
changed to Francis Thomas Anderson, Charles Thomas
Anderson, and Anna Mary Anderson, and it shall be
lawful for the said Francis Thomas Coberth, Charles
Thomas Coberth, and Anna Mary Coberth, at all times
hereafter, to be called and known by, hold and use the
names of Francis Thomas Anderson, Charles Thomas
Anderson, and Anna Mary Anderson, respectively, and
by said names to hold, receive, purchase, sell, convey
